BBC Weather: Record-breaking Bank Holiday heatwave to engulf UK - thunderstorm warning

THE latest BBC weather forecast for the Bank Holiday weekend shows a huge blast of Saharan air will turn Monday into a record-breaking scorcher but not before severe thunderstorms and dangerous waves rock the UK.

A record-breaking heatwave is set to engulf the UK by Monday, according to the latest BBC weather forecast for the Bank Holiday weekend. Meteorologist Nick Miller said that the blistering heat will see temperatures reach at least mid-20s in southern England. However, before this, Saturday and Sunday will see thunderstorms and severe rainfall, with more than 100mm of rain set to hit parts of Scotland.
