EastEnders actress June Brown 'quits for good' after playing Dot Cotton for 35 years

June Brown made her first appearance as Dot Cotton in 1985

After being on EastEnders for 35 years, June Brown has quit her role as Dot Cotton. 

According to the Mirror, the 93-year-old is disappointed with recent storylines, refusing to sign a retainer contract.

Dot's current storyline in the soap saw her leaving Walford last month, thinking that Martin Fowler stole her savings - it was actually her granddaughter Sonia.
