Ed Woodward delivers Man Utd transfer promise but makes admission about January signings

Ed Woodward insists Manchester United will continue to make more big-money additions in future summer windows.

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has promised more big-money signings like Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to help put the club back at the top of the English game.

But he warned fans wanting to see bodies through the door this January that they are more likely to have to wait until next summer to do it.

Speaking to shareholders on Monday, Woodward insisted a blend of “world class acquisitions” and academy graduates will keep United moving towards restoring...
