Four dead and schoolchildren hurt in California shooting

The attacker was also killed by police after shots were fired at a school in Tehama County

Four people have been killed and a number of schoolchildren wounded in a shooting spree in northern California.

The gunman was also shot dead by police after he opened fire at a primary school in Rancho Tehama Reserve on Tuesday morning.

At least seven people including two children are being treated in hospital after the attacker began "randomly picking targets", police said.
