Hope for Labour as 65 seats are ‘too close to call’ after exit poll

Labour was seeking to blame Brexit for the catastrophic electoral defeat predicted by the exit poll that has estimated a huge majority for the Conservatives.

However, there was a glimmer of hope for the party with Britain Elects tweeting: Should note the exit poll features 65 seats classified as “too close to call”.’

Despite this, shadow chancellor John McDonnell was visibly shocked by the predicted figures suggesting Labour was on course for its second General Election...
