Approval for defences protecting Easington gas terminal set to be extended

East Riding councillors have put their weight behind calls for the government to provide proper funding to help people forced out of their homes by coastal erosion.

The move comes after it was revealed 24 properties along the Holderness coast are expected to be lost to the waves within the next five years.

Most of those are in the village of Skipsea where some residents are currently being advised on...
