Julian Assange ‘turned Ecuadorian embassy into centre for spying’, says nation’s president

Julian Assange’s political asylum was revoked because he ‘used the Ecuadorian embassy as a centre for spying’, the nation’s president said.

The Wikileaks co-founder was taken from the embassy in London on Thursday, having stayed there for nearly seven years.

Ecudaor’s leader Lenin Moreno claimed that Assange had repeatedly interfered with ‘the processes of other states’ and said he could not allow the house to become ‘a centre for spying’.
