Nursing chief shames 'appalling' Britons ABUSING NHS heroes putting lives at risk

CHIEF Nursing Officer Ruth May denounced the abuse nurses have been suffering amid the coronavirus pandemic as appalling after NHS workers were warned not to travel in uniform to avoid being attacked.

Nurses across the UK have received an email warning them not to travel to work wearing their uniforms following reports of growing abuse since the start of the coronavirus outbreak. An email reportedly sent to NHS Blood and Transplant nurses also warned NHS staff to hide their IDs after reports of attempts to snatch the identification.
