Prison staff strike ended after union's 'constructive dialogue' with minister

Prison officers have returned to work and will be docked half a day's pay over the industrial action.

A strike by prison officers which triggered delays at courts across the country has been called off after "constructive dialogue" addressed union concerns.

The Prison Officers' Association (POA) said staff returned to their posts from 1pm, with those taking part in the industrial action being docked half a day's pay.
