SNP accused of 'BULLYING' UK public spending watchdog after stalling tax report

SNP ministers have been accused of "bullying" the UK’s public spending watchdog after it stalled a report on SNP tax policy.

The National Audit Office (NAO) took the unprecedented step of delaying a report due out today after it was queried by the Scottish Government.

But the decision to withdraw the document came after it had already been released to the media, under embargo, with it contents widely reported.

Tories accused the SNP of trying to "bully" the watchdog as it was confirmed Scottish Government civil servants had contacted the body on Monday evening to dispute its figures.
