Wheelie bins could soon be a thing of the past with these new receptacles

The end could be nigh for the humble wheelie bin. Not because we’ve suddenly become a zero waste society, but because of these fancy new receptacles.

They have been installed in a new development linked to Cambridge University and include steel bin shoots set into the pavement that feed into large underground chambers.
