A LAKE District chef died after collapsing while running the London Marathon yesterday (April 22). 

Matt Campbell, 29, collapsed at the 22.5 mile mark and, although he received immediate medical treatment on the scene from race doctors, he died later in hospital.

SCORES of trail runners and hill walkers are gearing up to take part in a Clapham Cave Rescue Organisation fund raiser.
