'It was one of your policies!' Rebecca Long-Bailey squirms in tense Labour debate grilling

REBECCA LONG-BAILEY stunned Channel 4 host Krishnan Guru-Murthy during the Labour leadership debate when she failed to answer his question on one of the party's election manifesto promises.

The remaining contesters in the Labour leadership race, Rebecca Long-Bailey, Sir Keir Starmer and Lisa Nandy, all joined Channel 4 for a heated TV debate. During the programme, host Krishnan Guru-Murthy introduced a quickfire round of yes or no answers for the candidates. However, when it came to a particular policy, Mrs Long-Bailey appeared to get stuck, admitting that she was “rubbish” at this sort of thing.
