Drink driver in Wisbech

A drink driver was arrested in Wisbech this afternoon (Saturday).

After being stopped by police, he failed the roadside breath test by blowing 73, the limit being 35.

The driver was arrested and taken to the police station.

Oak tree fire in Sutton St Edmund

Firefighters attended a large oak tree blaze this afternoon (Saturday).

The blaze was at a property on Guanockgate Road, Sutton St Edmund.

A crew from Crowland attended at 3.44pm and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The blaze was caused by embers from a controlled burn
