Scots soldier cleared of rape after court told of Burns Night booze session with alleged victim

A Scottish Army Major accused of raping a female Captain was today cleared after claiming he was too drunk to remember having sex.

Major Gregor Beaton was on trial for allegedly attacking the woman after they woke up in bed together after a Burns night party.

The female Captain, who cannot be named for legal reasons, couldn't remember what had happened either but...
